Founded in 1958 and originally called the Queensland Irish Association Dancers, we have a long and proud history of teaching Irish Dancing in Brisbane. We are a not-for-profit Irish Dancing school and now have locations in both the North and South of Brisbane (Wilston and Annerley). Our classes cater for boys and girls at all levels and all ages, from new beginners to advanced dancers, youngsters through to adults.
Here at QIA Dancers, we feel we are more than just an Irish Dancing school, we see ourselves as a family. We pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming, friendly and supportive atmosphere in which our dancers can create lifelong friendships, build confidence and develop their passion for Irish Dancing.
Our experienced teachers encourage and support our dancers to perfect their technique and improve their fitness while working towards achieving their personal best. As they progress, all our dancers are given the opportunity to be involved in team (ceili) dancing, as we believe it fosters teamwork and cooperation and brings together our QIA Dancers family. Through hard work and dedication, both our solo dancers and teams have achieved many great results at local, State, National and International competitive levels.
QIA Dancers also love to perform at events and functions across Brisbane. You will also see us leading the Brisbane Irish Festival St Patrick's Day Parade through the CBD in March each year. To enquire about booking QIA Dancers for your next event, please visit our Contact Us page.
